Monster Beverage (MNST) announced today that they are looking to expand operations into China. The company is partnering with Coca-Cola (KO) to distribute the popular energy drink in new markets. They expect to move into China in the first half of 2016, and Russia before the end of 2015. Asian markets have not historically been receptive to sugary drinks like America is. They tend to prefer tea and similar drinks. Coca-Cola has also been increasing their stake there by buying into tea companies. Monster stock is up over 8% after hours to $143.00. Coke is up 36 cents to $42.33
